St Georges in the mist

The church of St. George in Lee Mount, is an edifice in the Early English style, built of Northowram stone, and consists of chancel, nave, aisles and western tower, with spire, and was erected by the munificence of Miss Moss, the daughter of a former incumbent of Illingworth, at a cost of £7,700, from the designs of Messrs. Jackson and Fox, of George Street Halifax, and was consecrated 23rd April 1877 (St. George's Day).Shroggs park is to the rear.
