We meet again (both collared)
Bishop Graeme Rutherford came and spoke at our summer school today. As engaging and down to earth as ever.
I first encountered Bishop Rutherford in 2005, on the Central Coast, when I was exploring a call to the Anglican priesthood. I remember admiring the photo on his wall of Whitby Abbey. And getting cold feet about the whole idea and running away to the UK.
Fast forward eleven years and he comes to speak at the parish in which I am curate. The book he has cowritten with his atheist son, "Beloved father, Beloved son" is apparently an intelligent, thought provoking read. Must put it on my to read list (along with all the others!)
