Mono Museum Monday...Tradition

I wouldn't say it is quite a tradition, but on many Mondays when I'm in Florida, I/we go to the Ringling Museum of Art. Why Monday...you might ask.

Before he passed away, Mr. Ringling left it in his will that on one day of the week, the museum would be free. That day is Monday. The free entry doesn't get you into his house or his Circus Museum, but it is still fun to go. It's a great place to people watch.

I concentrated on the busts today. It's always hard to believe how old some of these pieces are. The terra cotta piece in the top left was made in 1500. 1500!! That's 516 years old! The youngest piece here (bottom right corner) was made in 1705.

The rest of the day...we spent shopping.

Bird of the day is in the extras. He was drooling over the koi in the pond at the museum.
