MONO MONDAY Heritage

The only items of heritage that I have from my grandfather are a set of shoe lastes. How I still have them and why he had them are unexplainable.
He was not a cobbler and died when I was only four years old. 
Perhaps DIY shoe repairs ?
 agree they do make useful door stops.
Woke this morning to no trace of any white snow stuff.
