Carnation detail

From two bunches I received as a present.  The other bunch are plain red and they mingle very well.
Busy day: Gym first thing and then I took an elderly neighbour for a Chiropodist appointment - otherwise he would have to go by taxi.  He is very frail and is finding it harder and harder to get into the car.  His wife and I have to wheel him from his door in his wheelchair.  His chair is too big to get in my car.  Once at the surgery, I nip in and borrow their wheelchair and then everything has to be done in reverse.  They are both in their eighties and his wife frets that the taxi will not arrive on time and she doesn't get help at the other end.  He has been unable to get anyone to come to the house and as he is diabetic these treatments are very important.
Then did my stint at the OU and afterwards met a friend for a cuppa and long chat in John Lewis.  
It's a hard life being retired!
