Big Head

They say birds nest
in the forest of his hair.

And that mice
live there too.

Sometimes people
spout stupid stuff

but I think that's true.
There’s certainly room

for a flock or two
to settle in there

at nightfall.
Not the mice though.

I’ve heard
they prefer a big bushy beard

to an unruly head
of hair.

Particularly when
several varieties of cheese

are housed
there.
