Home - and rain all the way . . .

It was really foggy in Seahouses when we woke up this morning, and heavy rain had fallen during the night. We set off in convey around 10am, and encountered really bad surface water on parts of the A1. At one stage I could not see out of my windscreen as a big van threw up half the massive puddle!

Then, with the Edinburgh city bypass closed due to flooding, it was chaos trying to work our way through the city roads instead. Parts of it were gridlocked, and the rain fell havy all the way home. Passed Balado where T in the Park is being held, and wondered what kind of mudfest it would be there!

GG decided to treat us to tea at our local, and as had nothing to eat since this morning apart for a strong coffee, demolished a breaded haddock and chips. Yum! Much prefer haddock to cod, which seems to be the favourite in English chippys.

We are all looking forward to the tennis tomorrow - it would be just fabulous if Andy won:-))

Here is Breagha in our jungle of a back garden - there are toadstools all over the grass and everything is about 1 foot higher than it was last Saturday . . . .
