Freezing our Ringers off!!!!!

Born and bred in BoD but never been to Glenseaton Lodge by Kettockmills, what a beautiful spot, if blimmin totally freezin' today. Wildlife central, right by the icy river Don, with last week's flood marks showing where it overwhelmed the ground floor but we were all about birds today, not rubbernecking at tidelines.

We got an up close insight into the BTO and the RSPB netting and ringing birds, and we got the best job of letting the birds go free again once they had been recorded, usually accompanied by a wee squawk, a wee nibble or...once they had (thankfully) left our gentle hold, a wee mid air poo. Just starting to feel our toes after being in minus whatever degrees for a couple of hours, but it was worth the encounter, definitely for Sam.
