Wall-life
The sun shone and we even had a smidgeon of frost. After taking Ben to Stamford I had a gloriously slow wander round Uffington, a village near the River Welland with a fine set of old walls. It's the time of year when many mosses reproduce and the low sunshine was lighting up the sporophtyes of this wall screw-moss. Although I've botanised here before, I still managed to add over twenty new species to the tetrad list, partly helped by finding an old, north facing wall with four species of fern.
