All mod cons!

A very grey, cold and wet day today so I felt that an indoor blip would be a good choice. The chapel organist's accidental odd shoes could have been good but I didn't like to ask!!

This is an advert from a Shrewsbury Chronicle newspaper from 1933 (I blipped another here).

It remember us having a mangle when I was a child but not one as posh as this as it's housed in a blue and white mottled enamel cabinet.
It says "A thing of beauty and great utility each day of the week".

I remember my mother carrying buckets of water from the village tap (everyone had their own key for it) as there was no main water for most houses. How things have changed, washing day was so hard years ago!
