Up On The Roof

Although seriously tempted, we're not having a swimming pool installed on our roof; instead, here's a question:

what is the best time for the flat roof above your kitchen to start leaking:
a) when you've just had a new kitchen fitted?
b) when it's raining incessantly?

Answer: both a & b!

As a result my very kind neighbour John, who's a builder, and I spent the morning taking the above emergency preventative action. During the movement of the planks, I paid my own special tribute to the late, great Eric Sykes, much to John's amusement. It never rains, etc.
