I always make Lisa take a drive-thru the Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, Tennessee. Not to stop and view the old log structures, but just to see the animals.

But, today, we did a little extra. We went into their gift shop/lunch counter, and had us a real southern treat. Chicken and dumplings with cornbread. Not the best I've ever had, but still quite good.

We couldn't get on the motel internet, so this is sucking the data out of my cell phone.

We drove 650 miles today, and are spending the night in Valdosta, Georgia. On the morrow, we have about 275 miles left.

When we got up this morning, I was real comfortable in my fleece jammies and t-shirt. I thought...hmmmm...why should I not stay comfortable? If the "kids" can wear their PJ's out in public...why can't I? So, I did.

I did get quite a few looks in the Kentucky Artisan Center, an upscale gift shop/rest area, but so what? I'm on vacation.

(Don't believe any of that last paragraph. I've always wanted to do that, but can never convince myself to.)

I did sing my title today, though...borrowing the tune from Topol in Fiddler on the Roof.

11 p.m. Signing off. Hope to catch up soon.
