Helena and Arvin

Today Arvin and I went for haircuts and then met Helena at the winter Farmer's Market in Bellingham. The Wild Fishwives were going to be there and I wanted to buy some fish from them. First thing in the morning it was pouring so I was seriously considering backing out, but by the time we were finished with our haircuts the sun was peeping out. So I bought halibut at the market and bread from the Breadfarm. Yum.

When we got back home the three of us took a walk in Whatcom Falls Park. The photo is of Helena and Arvin on the fish bench near Derby Pond. We had a good walk but by the end Arvin was having some problems with his balance. He starts to list in the direction downhill and sometimes starts to pick up speed in that direction. This is new behavior and is quite scary. Today we were able to help him by taking regular pauses to let him catch his breath. When we got home he lay down for a rest. Hopefully he'll be feeling more himself when he wakes up.
