A slightly wintry walk this morning before the snow blew in during the afternoon. The Virgin train in the background, which is bound for London, is a rare sight on our wee country track but the closure of a bridge near Carlisle that was damaged in the floods means that the main line is closed and we are the diversion.
That means a few changes to our own service to and from Glasgow but it's a small hardship compared to many. I quite like these big trains whizzing through.
