Town Quay

Winter seems to have finally arrived and although there was a cold wind it was a real pleasure to see blue skies and sunshine for the first time in what seems months of gloom.

This is the old Town Quay of Newport where cargo boats discharged their goods in the 19th century. It is 5 miles from the sea situated at the  navigable end of the River Medina.
The terrace of Quay Arts opposite (which seems to have lost it's Y) is a favourite coffee stop.
