Saturday: Trakoscan Castle

As you will have observed, this is not a picture of a castle, despite the title.

We took a drive out today and our ultimate destination was Trakoscan Castle - we have established a jolly good system for ourselves when driving to new places which is to go off motorway on the way there (providing it doesn't add three days to the journey) and then do motorway on the way back. You get to see so much more that way - it does, however, take us forever as I am constantly screeching at K. to pull over so that I can take photos.

On the way today, we discovered some fantastic little lakes and beautiful countryside. This one, for example.

P.S. Have just noticed it was a year ago I had the interview for this job. That is why blip is so fantastic - helping us to capture those moments.
