Kids went to school in the cold; and I then sped home to clock up some overtime. Around mid afternoon, I downed tools; and with a few visits on the way to the library, drop of football socks, a shop or two for supplies, I ended up in town at hers.

We managed a drink out for an hour or two, then back to fashion a duck and mango curry - she's the queen of curry, but I acquitted myself quite well.
