Fleeing the scene

The Merlin was back on his pole this morning. He finished his breakfast and then flew off to sit in a nearby tree for most of the day. I'd love to know whether he's been hanging around and I just haven't seen him or if he's new to the area and/or just passing through - hopefully he's not too far off track if that's the case.
