Building History of Castle Hoensbroek
Upon restoration of the Castle is one knocked on the foundations of five distinct buildings and construction periods of the castle building. The building periods in a row:

1. the remains of the Stercke huys built by 1250.
2. The round tower, remains of a building of approximately 1360.
3. The extension of the right front tower dating from around 1500.
4. major rebuild of 1643.
5. modernization of ca. 1720.
