Chilling Out

I'm going to have a busy day, so I thought I'd stop by to see Mom early on because she's leaving tomorrow morning for a visit to Buffalo. Didn't know if I'd be able to spend any time with her today.

She's been packed for weeks. I was even able to put her suitcases in my car, knowing that they would be there for 24 hours before we'd be leaving for the airport.

So this morning she was just chilling, watching a recorded opera from The Met on PBS. I didn't have three hours to spare so it was just a fly-by visit. Hopefully, I'll be able to stop by this evening and spend more quality time.

Just noticed, I did a portrait of her this date last year. She was a carrot-top then! :-)
