Brett Smiley

In all the outpourings of public grief plastered across social media recently about more famous deaths in the world of music, the passing of this guy last week went virtually un-noticed. Brett Smiley - he should have been a massive star in the 1970s, but for whatever reason, he wasn't. He had the songs and the star quality, but didn't get the breaks. It made me think of the capriciousness of fame, and how so much of it is down to pure.luck (good and bad).
