The Half-Blood Prince

So another shock today to hear Alan Rickman has gone... an actor who seemed to get it spot on every time, and from the sounds of it he was just a great person too. Most people/kids will have seen him take Severus Snape from the baddie to hero in 8 films and what a journey it  was... sigh. Is it because we are getting older the people we lose will have had more influence on our lives... does that make sense?

We awoke to a fair few inches of snow today, I had 30 seconds in my schedule to pop outside before heading off to work.

Luckily before doing so, I got a text from a neighbour advising they had crashed their car at a small bridge just down the road as it was also icy under the snow... which was useful as I could easily have followed it! However I was actually gobsmacked to see the car which had gone down the side of the bridge and only not in the burn because it had hit a tree. Oh dear, I would have been traumatised...

The rest of the journey was not that better, with one road blocked causing a 45 minute jam at a junction that just cleared once past it... 2 hours to get into work, bah!
