Proper winter weather

A starry, frosty night tonight  just like it should be this time of year.  Have these months of rain ground to a halt?  I hope so.

This is me playing with lights up Alva Glen tonight.  This is a blend of two shots.  You can see the original  shots in the extra photos.  I'm coming to the conclusion that light painting needs at least a few shots to get the right balance of detail and illumination.  No more trying to get it right in very long single exposures for me any more...  This was a blend of  30 second and 10 second exposure.
