Say what?!
Well today just flew by! I had fun on the allotment all morning with the chickens and my plot. I now have a strawberry, a raspberry and a redcurrant bed free of grass! It got quite addictive as the grass had just grown like a mat over everything and up the branches of the redcurrants and the canes of the raspberries! I would grab a handful at ground level and pull and watch as a whole length just slid towards me! I have a feeling I am going to wake as stiff as a board tomorrow as when pulling clumps of grass actually out of the ground, sometimes I could feel my back pulling rather than the grass being pulled out!
Once home I spent way too much time trying to book a caravan! A whole crowd from the village go on Evening Herald holidays because they have cheap deals. Last year a total of 24 adults, 13 children/teenagers and 6 dogs went! Now I am no longer working and having done the YHA weekend with them, I decided it was time to try a caravan again after over 30 years! Well it cost more than a £10 as the deal stated and there was much facebooking with the girl organising it to check what type of caravan, which site and where the service opt out was! Finally got it at under a £100 so not bad for a caravan for one that could sleep 6!!! I thought sharing as well was expecting a bit too much but probably someone or two will end up with me!
Finally a call from my sister - her school has another LEA inspection and OFSTED after. She had the same last year and the school didn't even do badly so both she and I are aghast that she has to go through this yet again. Plus she has had other inspections for early Years and Religious Education in the same time period. So finally she is going to resign before OFSTED hits. She was home at 7.30 last night, in bed at 8.30 and awake again at 2. She has always done well but her nerves about the whole thing just makes her life a misery - she knows it's senseless but can't control it. She hit the gin tonight after a day of the head telling everyone to change displays and check outcomes etc. She prefers it to taking something from the Dr. WHAT THE HELL???? This is what education is like nowadays - worry, stress and medication to cope with the demands - demands which are pointless and detrimental to both the children and adults. When will the government realise the damage they are doing? Grrrrr!
So having processed my allotment photos I decided to blip the one of Tilly taken just to check settings for the #ayearwithmycamera assignment! It was the best of a bad lot! Ho Hum time for bed as chicken duty again tomorrow - but no weeding - maybe just more raspberry cane pruning!
