Rescue 25

A sad day today as the Royal Navy Sea Kings from HMS Gannet took a final flight round the West of Scotland to say farewell before they retire.  Not often you would get to see two of them at close quarters.  Although only one of them is in this shot there were two accompanied by a Navy sister probably taking footage of the tour.

There replacement operated by Bristows on behalf of HM Coastguard is already earning her keep from the new base at Prestwick.

So long and farewell old girls and thanks for all your hard work over the years, you will be missed.

Extra images show the three of them in formation.
