Tufted Duck

I liked the symmetry of this unusual shot of a "tufty", so it just pipped the more conventional portrait of the song thrush, to be my first birdblip of 2016.
I captured 47 different species in 2015. So, provided we get  the news we're all hoping for, soon, I will set myself the challenge of blipping at least 50 species this year, with at least 5 previously unblipped and, perhaps ambitiously, one of those to be a species I've not seen before.
