It was raining and blowing a gale when we woke up and set off for Cork city. I had a hospital appointment, to have the biopsy done at last. We hadn't got very far before we hit serious ice. Traffic was very slow and the radio was full of dire warnings about black ice in the city. It was raining and icy at the same time. 
Anyway we had to turn back and creep carefully home. I ended up having a nice day at home, cleaning and pottering about the house. Nice.
