Layers of Being

At the Lange Voorhout is an exibition from South African artists.

This sculpture is built up of layers of South African earth. By constructing a portrait out of this material, Angus Taylor poses the question: to what extent does your native soil determine who you are? In the layers of earth one could see the progress, memories ore grow of the depicted person.
