THE TALENTED MISS FISCHER

I had a phone call a short while ago telling me that one of my old Residents had passed away in her nursing home. Mary Fischer was a lady of many talents and always interesting to chat too, an accomplished Piano Player, she took up painting in later life and did have some displayed in ilkley's annual art festival a few years ago. Back in the forays she use to design fabrics for one of the department stores in Bradford, she was on friendly terms with David Hockney who use to come round to her mothers house to be looked after when he was a boy, she had a host f stories, one of those people who should have written a book, you know the type I mean.
