Trip to Gairloch..

Our holiday trips up the west coast always included Gairloch.  We've camped, we've hostelled, but since we've been living here (is it really seven years now?), we've not found time to go there.

An invite for a blip-meet with LSA corrected that. And a lovely day we had too. A nice drive down to Ullapool, and on to Dundonell. All in bright sunshine. But the weather then changed, frequent heavy showers. This shot taken from near Dundonell, looking towards the Scoraig peninsular. There's a school, currently looking for a headmaster if you fancy it, and most journeys involve a 4 mile walk, or a boat trip from here..

A nice meal with LSA (thanks again), and a walk (and paddle for some!) on Opinan beach. Silly me drove too far, but did see Croft 23, a friend from Facebook (he takes wonderful pictures of auroras).

A long journey back through driving rain and snow, arriving back in Scourie at 9 pm..

A god day - but now back to work!....our holiday trips up the west coast a
