The Big Bird lifts off as we arrive back in AKL and taxi to the terminal.
Phew, what a busy few days it has been in Christchurch. And today hasn't been much quieter back in Auckland
The noise from trains, trucks, traffic generally, and the port (roughly in that order of significance) has finally got too much for us and we have quit. Last weekend we moved to a rental property in Devonport (to see if we like it there - or should I now say "here"), and advertised the apartment for rent so as to try to offset some costs. Some good enquiries and promising prospective tenants.......But then on Monday we had an offer to buy the apartment and today it is sold! Gulp, just like that! Thank goodness for D's energy and expertise in property matters, I struggle to keep up and certainly couldn't move at that pace for too long! Watch this space?
