Silver whooshes

Such a different day from yesterday. I could have chosen quite a few photos to blip. The long tailed tits were in the garden chattering away. I always think it's a sign that we're in for a cold spell.
The Great Spotted woodpecker was down on another fat square, busy pecking away and not seeing me.
I thought I would go out in the garden as it was so nice to pull up some dock and nettles that had started to seed and to my surprise there were two beautiful male Bullfinches eating the seeds. Did manage to clear a few areas but left the dock and nettles.
We took our lunch down to Rosemarkie. Again the waves were amazing and a great  light made the sea look like silver.
A quick walk on the beach where I saw a Guillemot in Winter plumage, two pied wagtails, a grey wagtail, rock pipits and a robin. A lot of seaweed had been washed up. 
A look at Udale Bay with the highlight of the day , a peregrine falcon which flew slowly past the car, round the back of the birds and back along the shoreline on the otherside, sending up a lot of birds. I do nt know if it caught anything as it disappeared from sight.
