A near miss ..

This morning got off to a very bad start - the bathroom needed scrubbing (don't ask), then mum refused to get out of bed. Normally I would be happy to leave her a bit longer - but it was already 8.15 am - very late for her - and if we didn't get a move on I just wouldn't have time to get to my bird class, which was only meeting in the park up the road so should have been a cinch to get to in good time.

We exchanged words and eventually she was persuaded to get up and then objected to having the shower she SO needed ..

Ho hum - such is the life of a carer.

Anyway - things got back to normal in the nick of time and off I went.

It was pretty dull and overcast for most of the class - but in a short burst of sunshine I got this photo of a lovely male tufted duck.
