Clock this

So a rather large timepiece arrived in the post today from our family in France, delivered via family in England. What can I say? Such a lovely thing to do. I got Top Gun to pose with it so you can see what a huge clock it is. Perfect for our study which is the warmest room in the house.

I won't tell you what sniggers we had at work when it was delivered but remarks such as "what a huge package" and "come on show us your clock" may have been part of the banter ...

As for the rest:

Lots of work - unremitting as they say. Mid January is the most tiring time of the year ... the fatigue is real even if Blue Monday is a load of old cobblers.

Very sad about the bombings in Istanbul - just a few hundred yards from where we stayed when we were there last October...
