What a difference!

Woke to the sound of the council gritter lorry trundling along the road and when we went along to the hens it was still pretty frosty.  

Great to see the lying water starting to seep away, although it is still very muddy.  I let the hens out for an explore while I gave their pen a good clear out and Ollie busied himself by following them around, trying to round them up!  He's not allowed on the soil and very rarely steps on it, so the hens going on it drives him to distraction - he keeps coming to let me know!!  See extras.

A super day, cold and clear.  Spent the morning in the front garden tidying and clearing up.  Collected a big trug full of seaweed off the drive and dumped in on the compost heap, ready for the garden later on.  Mike had a happy and productive time on the boat!  Still discovering lots of new things about it - it even has a heater, which is a great bonus in this weather!
