Copperhead
I went for a walk late in the afternoon, hoping to find something tiny in the bush.
I found something alright, but it was a bit more than I bargained for.
I had the macro lens with me, but wasn't going to get close enough for a good macro.
He didn't seem upset or aggressive, though he was aware of me.
I took half a dozen shots before leaving.
I'm not sure what it is, though I'm hoping Doli will see this and tell me.
A bit of googling leads me to believe it may well be an eastern brown snake, which is the second most venomous terrestrial snake in the world.
Have just added a tightly cropped extra, which may help with a positive ID.
