Heroes

Gutted to wake up to today's news, the loss of another of my musical heroes- I've been a fan of Bowie's music and films ever since I can remember- something I've passed on to my siblings.
His music holds lots of significance for our family, particularly with 'Changes' being my lil' bro's favourite song and one we played as we said our goodbyes to him.
Ironic events really as I'd already planned last night to buy his his new album ( I don't buy cds very often)whilst I was in town today - I still went ahead and on listening am pleased I did. It's both beautiful and haunting. It would appear that he timed this perfectly. A perfect parting for a man who consistently reinvented himself. Maybe something we should all consider once in a while.

Blip is of a birthday gift (with a little artistic licence) I received back in May from a good friend who clearly knows me well.
