If I didn't know better, I might have believed that my boss had been in cahoots with my pain consultant today.

Upshot of the visit to hospital was doubling my dose of gabapentin and adding some additional nighttime narcotics! Essentially "we need to make sure you are sleeping so you are ready for surgery". There was also a conversation that was clearly about managing my expectations of post surgical results and that pain management would continue beyond the surgery into at least May.

So, am about to take my double dosage, so I anticipate sleep by 8pm.


Sad news to wake up to today. I would say rest in peace, but what I really would like to believe is that Lemmy, Bowie, Lennon, Mercury, Harrison and many others are now rocking out in an alternate universe! So long Starman. Your influence was wide reaching and across generations. It will live on.
