The Horse and the Lone Hawthorn
6.3C dry and mostly cloudy with some bright spells. Light breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Simply Red on the Nano (Home, Stars, and Life). We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We carried on out the road past Craigmill farm and went along to Scryne where we turned down the road to Easthaven and then came back along the cycle path.
When we were approaching the bottom end of the farm track that we usually take to walk down to the cycle path and shore road I saw one of the horses walking up the track with a person walking behind. I took one or two shots and liked this one with the horse and the lone Hawthorn. The person was level with the tree, so can't be seen. I liked it the shot better without the person following the horse.
We walked along to Westhaven and went down to the beach via the road bridge over the railway. The tide was almost fully in. The sea was much calmer today and only small waves were breaking in the small strip of beach that wasn't covered by the tide. Maeve and I went down onto the sand for a few minutes. I watched the waves break on the shore and Maeve wandered about on her own then we crossed back over the road bridge and carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

I heard on the news this morning that David Bowie passed away .
Peacefully, surrounded by his family.
A life well lived.
Sorrow.
