Waihi Mine

And so it was time for us to pack up and head back to Auckland.

Thankfully, the old gold mining town of Waihi was on the way, so we stopped off and had a look around. This mine is small by Australian standards, but is still massive. There's a house in this shot, just to give an idea of scale!
