Avoch, pronounced 'Och.'

For a change today, I stopped at Avoch, instead of driving through it. I've always liked Avoch as a less pretentious place than its neighbours. I did the long walk along the shore, and despite ending up at a water treatment works, I enjoyed it. I saw some exotic birds, so exotic that they are not even listed in my bird book. Everyone said 'hello' and the sea, to quote Spike Milligan, was as smooth as 'a plate of polished steel.'
