Everyday I Write The Book

Serendipitous blipmeet

Have had a lovely afternoon. Went to the new wetland area on Horsell Common which was really impressive but as the name implies - well, very wet. So we went into Woking and bought wellies then went back again. They have a lovely cafe there but before we could even buy our cappuccino and tea we got grabbed by 57 Daisies and her husband. Fantastic to meet a lovely fellow blipper at last, we had a good chat about blipping, photography and the nerdy technical side of things.

Then we bumped  into our local cat lovers Leila and Neill who have bought Dylan home on more than one occasion. We finally managed to get under way and got our new boots very muddy doing a circular walk which was right under the Fairoaks flight path, so we had a good view of a selection of light aircraft as well as wetland wildlife. On the way back we met someone else we knew out walking the dog, then finally an NHS colleague and her husband. So as walks go it was uber social. We did have a couple of sticky moments when we thought boots would be lost in deep mud or we would end up on our backsides but we managed to stay shod and upright.
Been a fab day and hopefully a chilled evening to come.
