LONG-EARED OWL

At Marton Mere, Lancashire. We went looking for a Short-eared Owl too but missed it by minutes.

Very lucky with the weather as we left home in heavy rain but burst through into sunshine near the coast. Back to rain as we headed home again though.

Extra photo was on the motorway. We've never seen these moving signs on a police vehicle before.  "Use correct lane" was directed at a taxi driver hogging the middle lane.

If they'd taken the same route as us they could have flashed up "Stop using your mobile phone when driving" half a dozen times. I can't understand why so many people think they above that law.
