Wood carvings

The light was, again, sharp and bright at lunchtime and I'm getting back into my stride (no pun intended) of going for a lunchtime walk.  This fallen tree trunk is fabulous because if you look closely you can see that someone has carved things into it.  I've added one as an 'extra' (in fact I think I may have blipped about this before).

If the weather is dry and the light as bright and sharp as today on Monday, the day of my friend's funeral, it will help to make a sad occasion into something a little bit wonderful as it's taking place at a natural burial ground.
