no weather for a BBQ

...sorry, but today's is a boring rainy day blip!

After yesterday's beautiful sunshine, I had the irrational thought that summer might have arrived. That though was sadly dispelled on awakening to the sound of the same stuck record that seems to have been playing all summer "raindrops keep falling..." - and they fell all day!! No weather for eating al fresco, hence the tenuous link to our dining space. The painting that I blipped on the 3rd July can be seen hanging on the wall, but of more interest is the orchid on the left, which has been in flower constantly since last November. At the present rate of developing new flowers, it will still be in bloom this November.

The weather may have been disappointing but watching Andy Murray win his historic place in this year's Wimbledon final was sheer magic...
