The Preacher

This man(a relation of mine)wasthepreacher at the sesquicentennial church service this morning. He arrived at the service on a horse with a packhorse as the ministers would have done 150 years ago. He is a direct descendant of the very early settlers and has been a lay preacher for a number of years. What a great service of old hymns and history.
This afternoon an amazing parade. Unfortunately it rained towards the end but who cared. Four days of history , entertainment and fun. Reminiscing with old friends and long lost relatives. Have to get back to reality now and go home to take up an ordinary life again after being away for two weeks. Best holiday I have had in years. Promise I will get back to commenting. Can't put up any extras from my iPad and would love to. Last night was on TV3 news greeting a relative I hadn't seen in years who was over from Australia. Wanted to watch the news again tonight but guess what have fouled it up by mucking with the remote and now nothing.
