SULKING
Not me, the hawk. He sees our bird feeder as his dinner table and was quite offended today because he missed. Maybe the little ones are getting wiser at spotting him. Sad as it is to see a wee goldfinch get taken, it is wonderful having this magnificent hawk visiting.
It was Transport Museum weather today. I spoke recently one of their curators, who is in charge of the ship collection. She told me that the model makers were never allowed to be named, which is a pity as their work is so astounding. However, as she repairs them, she has occasionally found a name carefully inscribed somewhere on the inside, hidden from view. Home to have overnight airport guests. It is one of the advantages of living so close - the passing trade. This one is now en route to Haiti to help build a school.
