Sweeping Up The Post, Aylesford

We've had quite a bit of rain over the past few days (luckily nowhere near as bad as parts of the North of England) and this building site near where I live has turned into a massive sea of ankle deep mud. I found the abandoned broom quite amusing - trying to clear all the mud with this would be like trying to hold back a flood with sheet of paper!
Originally the site was going to be flats for soldiers invalided out of the armed forces but somehow it has now turned into a combination of a drive-through McDonald's, a Lidl (or Aldi, they seem interchangeable) and a Poundland store. Another supermarket is a very strange choice - there are two others already within spitting distance.
Anyhow, while taking this shot I didn't realise while poking my lens through the security fencing (I'm glad I didn't have to explain what I was doing!) that the said ankle deep mud had oozed out onto the nearby path - let's just say my boots are now caked and I'll have to wait until they dry out befor chipping off the dried crust!
