Quilt Finished....at last!!

I started making this quilt about three years ago. I had bought the fabrics at a series of different stalls down the souq and of course sod's law I was short on one of the fabrics, the dark blue and I just could not remember which stall I had bought it from. Every time I went down the souq I looked for it, but never saw it. Then last summer (yes it still took until this year to finish it!) I found something "similar". Most of the top of the quilt was already put together I just needed another two rows to complete it. However when I put the last two rows on with the new fabric, it was lighter and looked awful....so.....I took the whole thing to bits and re did it, incorporating the lighter blue throughout. A mamouth task at the time but I knew I would always be disappointed if not. I finished it about three days ago and I am really pleased that I did the extra work and am happy with the result. The cats haven't discovered it yet, so soon it will be covered in cat hair!

Talking of cats.....Lilly my cat with the poorly tail is much better and almost healed, just a bit bald where the vet shaved her.
