''Willow Seed Heads'

A beautiful day weather wise...after days of grey skies and rain, the blue sky was like a shot in the arm.

Lovely drive over to Wakehurst which is now known as the country estate of the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. The Artist Tom Hare has a wonderful exhibition of his Giant Willow sculptures...there are Poppy Seed Heads, Star Anise, Sycamore, Sacred Lotus and Harebells, to name a few. Also, some beautiful Giant Fungi and Pine cone sculptures. We had a long walk and spent three hours there....just as we arrived back at the car park, the rain started. We had the best of the day!

Thinking of Elvis today ...it would have been his 81st Birthday.
